What is your cancellation policy?
We understand sometimes cancellations are inevitable. All cancellations will have a non-refundable processing fee. Please be sure of your order before placing and paying for the order.
We can provide a full refund (minus processing fee) with 5 days' notice. For between 5-3 days notice, we can provide a 50% refund. For less than 3 days, we will be unable to provide a refund. Refunds are at the discretion of the business and need to be in writing (via email).
How much notice do you need?
Online orders can usually be placed with min 4 days' notice (pending availability). Friday's and Saturday's can book out quickly. To ensure you can secure your date, 2 weeks is recommended. The more notice, the better!
How do I place an order?
We have many cakes and bakes to order from under the "order online" tab on our website. For something customized that you can't find on our website, submit a "custom cake enquiry form".
How does collection work?
Our cake collection hours are Monday- Thursday 10:30am-4pm, Friday 10:30am-5pm and Saturday 10:30am-1pm. You can collect your cake on the ordered date anytime during these time frames at our cake studio: 531 Nicholson St, Carlton North.
How do I keep/store the cake?
We recommend keeping the cake in the fridge during summer months until you are ready to display the cake. Cakes are always best eaten at room temperature, so ensure it has had adequate time out of the fridge prior to eating. Take your cake out to serve at least 30 mins - 1 hour in Hotter months, or 3 - 4 hours in the colder months before cutting. Do not store cakes in direct sun or rooms above 24 degrees for long periods of time.
Your cake will stay fresh for up to 3 days. Store in the fridge and bring back out to room temp prior to eating. Slices may also be frozen for up to 3 months.
Keep in mind, cakes with fresh flowers or fresh fruit for decoration should have the toppings removed prior to storing.
How do I transport my cake?
Very important question! You will need to ensure you travel with the cake on a flat surface, either on the floor of the passenger side or in the boot. We can always assist with getting your cake into the car. You will need to ensure the aircon is on during Summer months. Always refrigerate the cake prior to travel. Do not travel with cake boxes on car seats or tilted surfaces. Be careful when going over bumbs and taking corners. Cakes are precious cargo! We can not be held responsible for any damage done during transport. Please opt for delivery if you have concerns.
Do you offer dietary friendly cakes?
Yes! We have many GF and vegan options on the website. You are welcome to submit a custom cake enquiry form for Vegan and GF cakes if you have something special in mind. Please note, we do bake in a kitchen with allergens such's as nuts, gluten, dairy and eggs and can never confirm no traces, despite our best efforts to avoid cross contamination.
Do you offer delivery?
We sure do! Our deliveries usually go out between 8am-11am. When ordering online, you can select delivery at checkout and your fee will be automatically calculated. For deliveries during specific time frames, please enquire via email.
